About the Role:

We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Project Manager to join our team at Strong Recruitment Group. Based in Hertfordshire, this role involves 30% site-based work and offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career in project management.

The successful candidate will assist in managing mechanical projects with values ranging from £50,000 to £10 million, working closely with senior project managers and the operations team to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the mechanical aspects of M&E projects from design to completion
  • Ensure a 30% site presence, supporting senior project managers in overseeing installation and resolving any site issues
  • Collaborate with in-house teams, clients, and subcontractors to meet project requirements
  • Help manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and successful project delivery
  • Work with suppliers, subcontractors, and specialist partners to maintain project standards
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and building codes
  • Provide regular updates to the senior management team and clients on project progress

Ideal Candidate:

  • Some experience in managing or supporting mechanical projects in an M&E fit-out environment
  • Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or Project Management (e.g., HND/HNC, BEng, or relevant certification)
  • Understanding of mechanical systems such as HVAC, ventilation, drainage, and water systems
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to grow into a full project management role
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and support senior team members
  • Valid driver's license required for site visits
