About the Role

The Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit a skilled Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to join our IAPT service. As a CBT Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions to patients with common mental health conditions.

The successful candidate will work as part of a dynamic team, contributing to the development and delivery of our service. You will be expected to provide clinical supervision to other team members, ensuring safe and effective therapeutic practice.

We welcome applications from candidates with a strong background in CBT and experience of working with diverse client groups. You will need to be able to communicate complex information effectively, both verbally and in writing, and have a good understanding of clinical measures and KPIs within an IAPT service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-intensity CBT to patients with common mental health conditions
  • Manage a clinical caseload and prioritize work within service criteria
  • Undertake risk assessments and provide clinical supervision to team members
  • Liaise with other professionals as required

Person Specification:

  • Postgraduate CBT diploma or IAPT High Intensity qualification
  • Significant experience working as a psychological therapy practitioner and demonstrating competences to deliver CBT
  • Accreditation with a professional body (e.g. BABCP)

Desirable Criteria:

  • Additional therapeutic intervention training (e.g. EMDR, IPT, DIT)
  • Experience of delivering supervision and clinical audits
