Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Practice Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our reception team during practice opening hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the reception team to provide excellent patient care and support.
  • Work closely with the Practice Manager and practice team to achieve our goals and objectives.
  • Ensure the effective use of clinical systems, including Emis, to support patient care and practice operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the practice team to identify and address potential challenges and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Primary care experience, preferably in a GP practice setting.
  • Experience of working with clinical systems, including Emis.
  • Proven ability to work under own initiative and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and engage with patients and staff.

Desirable Qualifications

  • GCSE or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Experience of managing reception teams.
