Fire Engineer Opportunity

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Fire Engineer to join their independent Consultancy specialising in Fire Safety and Engineering Services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop fire strategies and performance-based designs, supported by fire and evacuation modelling, risk analysis and cost benefit analysis
  2. Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure work is compliant with client expectations and contractual obligations
  3. Produce fire safety engineering reports and review design information such as drawings and documents
  4. Resolve fire engineering concerns by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards
  5. Support junior members of staff and contribute to the growth and development of the team
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Engineering (Fire, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or similar)
  2. Experience of providing fire safety advice in the nuclear sector and in a conventional environment
  3. Experience of implementing the principle of fire science to real projects
  4. Experience of management of fire safety on construction sites
  5. Full UK Driving License and computer literacy
  6. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to travel within UK and Overseas
  7. Knowledge of legislation, regulations, national and international standards
  8. Knowledge of Fire Water Network and Fire water pumping systems including fire water pumps, storage tanks etc.
  9. NEBOSH Fire Certificate (Desirable)
