Job Overview

The Emerald Group is seeking a highly skilled Climate Data Specialist to join their team in London. This permanent role will be focused on developing solutions to risk models, delivering climate analytics, and engaging with clients.

About the Role

This position involves analysing climate model data and observation data as part of specific projects investigating the impact of climate change. You will also run risk models, adjusting them to account for climate change, produce reports and presentations summarising key results, and present these to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysing climate model data and observation data for specific projects
  • Running risk models and adjusting them to account for climate change
  • Producing reports and presentations summarising key results and presenting to clients
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest academic publications on climate science through academic engagements
  • Keeping up-to-date with new solutions available within the market

Requirements

  • A deep understanding of climate science, models, and academic work
  • Programming abilities (R/Python) for climate data analysis
  • An ability to translate complex academic work and analytics to those without a scientific background
  • A willingness to work as part of a team delivering a range of solutions and responding to client requests

Salary and Benefits
