About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires a highly skilled and experienced leader to manage a new residential children's home in Birkenhead. The successful candidate will have a strong background in childcare management, with at least 5 years' experience in the sector, including 2 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of staff to provide high-quality care and service, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of children are met
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards, such as those set by Ofsted, to maintain a safe and supportive environment
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the quality of care and service, responding to feedback and concerns from children, families, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve shared goals and objectives, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the children's residential sector
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role in a similar environment
  • Relevant experience working in an Ofsted-registered children's home
  • Level 3 or 4 NVQ/Diploma in Children and Young People Workforce; ideally Level 5 NVQ qualification or working towards

Estimated Salary: £58,000 - £68,000 per annum, reflecting the seniority and expertise required for this role
