Electrical Engineering Lecturer Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Engineering Lecturer to join our team at a leading Further Education College in North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and the ability to inspire and educate the next generation of engineers.

The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and substantial industry experience in a related field. They will also possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.

The role will involve teaching BTEC and T-Level Electrical / Electronic Engineering courses, delivering engaging and interactive lessons, assessing and providing feedback on student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of a diverse group of learners
  • Provide support and guidance to apprentices throughout their training journey
  • Assess and evaluate student work to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to enhance the apprenticeship program

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • Have substantial industry experience in a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent knowledge of electrical and electronic principles
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit different learning styles
