As a Digital Transformation Programme Manager, you will oversee a team of project managers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget. You will also play a key role in aligning our projects with our strategic goals and exploring new technologies that can add value to our digital offerings.

This is a fixed-term role until July 2025, offering hybrid working between remote and occasional travel to our regional offices.

Main Responsibilities

As a Digital Transformation Programme Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Digital Front Door programme, ensuring it aligns with business goals and measuring success through key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Engaging stakeholders by collaborating with clinicians, IT teams, and patient representatives to understand their requirements and secure support.
  • Providing strong leadership, mentoring project managers to ensure the effective delivery of digital solutions.
  • Maintaining governance structures and regularly reporting progress to senior management.
  • Identifying and mitigating programme risks and issues.
  • Managing budget allocation and resource efficiency.
  • Staying updated on emerging technologies to enhance patient care.
  • Facilitating change by implementing initiatives for the adoption of digital solutions and developing training plans to support users.
Requirements

We are looking for someone with:

  • A degree or equivalent experience and a solid background in programme management, particularly with digital transformations in the NHS or healthcare.
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate project managers and a good understanding of NHS processes and challenges.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms and tools in healthcare is important, as is experience managing projects across different teams.
  • Financial skills, including budget management and ROI analysis, are essential, along with the ability to review and develop business cases.
  • A proven track record in leading change and building relationships with tech suppliers. MSP or a similar programme management qualification is a plus.
About Us

We change lives by transforming health and care. Established in 2006, we are one of the UK's leading independent providers of community health and care services, working with health and care commissioners and communities to transform services with a focus on experience, efficiency, and improved outcomes.

We deliver and transform adult and children community health services, primary care services including urgent care, sexual health, dermatology, and MSK services as well as adult social care and wellbeing services. Across England, we support communities of many millions and directly help more than half a million people each year - guided by our simple values: we care, we think, we do.

Safeguarding and protecting the children, young people, and vulnerable adults that we work with is of the utmost importance so we have policies and procedures in place to promote safeguarding and safer working practices and everyone who joins the team is subject to a safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks.
