We are pleased to announce a unique opportunity for a Senior Actuarial Manager to become a vital part of our team on a fixed-term contract. This position is ideal for an individual with robust technical expertise who is eager to join our collaborative and determined team focused on enhancing our Credit Risk modelling strategies.
Overview of the Role:
This position is situated within our Group Actuarial & Capital Change (GACC) division, which is dedicated to our Credit Risk Modelling initiatives. The team aims to refine our methodologies for Credit Risk modelling to effectively support the capital reserves on our balance sheet and optimize pricing for our Bulk Purchase Annuities.
Your responsibilities will include analyzing the components of credit risk at a detailed level, assessing Matching Adjustment under stress scenarios, establishing calibration methods, and developing the approach for the Solvency Capital Requirement (SCR). You will also be tasked with producing documentation for expert panels, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and evaluating the implications of Solvency UK reforms.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Qualified actuary with a background in credit risk modelling and annuity portfolios
- Demonstrated success in technical actuarial roles, including actuarial functions and calibrations
- Capability to work autonomously
- Proficient in delivering work that meets the standards set by the PRA
- Exceptional stakeholder management abilities, with a talent for simplifying and conveying complex information tailored to various audiences
