Job Summary

The Retention Manager will lead the Student Retention team in supporting our faculties, developing and implementing a comprehensive student retention strategy to ensure student engagement and progression. This role requires strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to adapt messages for a diverse audience and build positive relationships with students, staff, and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a student retention strategy aligned with GBS's goals and objectives.
  • Lead the Student Retention team in delivering high-quality services to students, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with faculty members, academic departments, and other stakeholders to develop and implement retention initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze data to track student retention and progression, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address them.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to Senior Retention Officers, supporting them in leading their teams and delivering effective services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, staff, and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in student retention, academic support, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to adapt messages for a diverse audience.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively, work collaboratively in a team, and build positive relationships with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • High level of computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, with knowledge of PBI a plus.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience of building and leading high-performing teams.
