We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at a good Primary school in Great Barr.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting children with educational needs, including those with SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. You must be NVQ Level 3 qualified and have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with special educational needs.

The role involves:

  • Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation and management
  • Leading group work and activities
  • Helping the class teacher with pupil observations and assessments
  • Providing 1:1 support to students who require additional help

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £25,000-£35,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a supportive and collaborative working environment, with access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Children's Learning and Development or equivalent
  • At least 6 months experience working with children with SEND / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
