Senior Children's Support Professional

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team at SuperCare Residential. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to vulnerable children and young people.
Main Responsibilities:
- Direct work with young people, key working, and providing day-to-day care and support on a shift work basis.
- Collaborate with young people, their families, social workers, and other organizations to ensure everyone's needs are addressed.
- Co-ordinate, monitor, and review Care Plans for allocated young people preparing to transition to adulthood and greater independence.
- Take responsibility for the upkeep of the establishment, ensuring health and safety, and making autonomous decisions about individual young people's requests and behavior.
- Administrative work and record-keeping associated with key working responsibilities and the daily running of the home.
- Ensure young people carry as much responsibility for their own lives as possible, keeping them informed of their circumstances and rights, involving them in planning, and supporting them towards greater control and responsibility.
- Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns and report them effectively.
- Attend to day-to-day needs, including bathing, feeding, and cooking for the young people.
Household Responsibilities:
- Share in practical activities necessary to maintain the House.
- Care for the fabric, equipment, and overall environment.
- Be accountable for moneys allocated for specific purposes.
- Report repairs and ensure necessary actions are taken.
Personal:
- Act as a role model and guide for young people, setting principles and examples.
- Keep abreast of good practice to develop skills, knowledge, and experience, in accordance with a personal development plan.
- Make use of regular professional supervision.
- Report to a line manager or other appropriate person, any malpractice or evidence suggesting it.
Additional Duties:
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
- Work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays, on a rota basis as required.
- Be flexible to work at other properties as directed by management.
Requirements:
- Experience of working with children/young people in an Ofsted environment.
- Level 3 CYPW or above.
- Enhanced DBS Check, and on the update service.
- Ability to drive.
- Smart and agile to handle the daily needs and activities of the young people.
