Job Title: Facilities and Maintenance Manager

MicroStar Logistics is a leading provider of shared-keg solutions, and we are seeking a highly skilled Facilities and Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Kegstar management team, you will be responsible for maintaining our facility and designing, developing, and implementing maintenance practices within our automated keg line and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a culture of safety, quality, productivity, and cost ownership throughout the facility.
  • Ensure all operational equipment is properly maintained and kept in optimal condition, including forklifts, shrink wrappers, scales, loading docks, and additional equipment.
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair any electrical or mechanical faults on machinery or instrumentation while managing and maintaining spare parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with Operations staff to plan and execute plant shutdowns to complete overhauls, new installations, and maintenance.
  • Facilitate and partner with Operations staff to ensure objectives are established to support the development and advancement of staff.
  • Work closely with the Landlord in coordinating lease-based maintenance, visits, and lease documentation updates.
  • Oversee and direct all building maintenance, including garbage, cleaning floors and racking, and overall organization, including the salvage of damage or used materials.
  • Effective communication: provide timely and concise information to help others do their jobs better, across all levels within the organization from the manufacturing floor to senior management.
  • Skills to adapt quickly to innovation and change, facilitating process improvement initiatives to maintain quality and develop workable implementation plans in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to both customer service and quality.
  • Knowledge of control systems such as Siemens PLCs, AutoCAD, and mechanical design.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (electro-mechanical preferred) from an accredited institution or equivalent apprenticeship.
  • Working knowledge of industrial systems, processes, and machinery, including instrumentation and controls, PLCs, plumbing, pumps, filters, material handling technology, pneumatics, and electrical.
  • Experience with heating and air conditioning, Chiller Systems, Boiler and Water treatment systems, washers, and other basic physical plant and equipment items.
  • Project management capabilities with the ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously from origin through execution.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
