Pareto Facilities Management is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to enhance our operational team.

The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented professional, committed to exceeding expectations. A travel card will be provided.

Essential Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Experience in a Building Services Engineer capacity
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards
  • Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Possession of 17th Edition certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of the timely execution of all maintenance and reactive tasks related to client assets, serving as the primary contact for M&E and Fabric issues.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the efficiency and safety of M&E installations, including fire safety and security systems, while collaborating with client personnel on specific needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and computer-based management systems to meet national standards, including statutory testing and inspection documentation.
  • Perform necessary maintenance on M&E services and installations, encompassing electrical systems, heating, fire alarms, and other relevant systems.
  • Ensure that all work is completed to the required standards and within budget, meeting client expectations and providing regular updates to the Pareto FM Account Manager.

Facilitate arrangements for subcontractors to conduct routine and emergency maintenance, both during and outside of standard hours.

  • Assist clients in establishing maintenance priorities, future programs, and budget planning.
  • Support the preparation of planned maintenance projects, including scheduling, specifications, and order placements, while auditing and supervising completed works.
  • Provide technical M&E advice and support to clients as needed.
  • Collaborate with other professionals on project work, contributing site and maintenance insights.
  • Work with clients and Pareto FM staff to promote best practices in M&E maintenance.
  • Engage with site and property teams, offering technical input on various initiatives, including health and safety and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with clients to implement the Asset Management Plan, aiding in the planning and management of works across the estate.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by the client and Pareto FM Account Manager.
  • Act as the primary contact for clients when issues arise.
  • Be adaptable to a range of workplace tasks to support client business continuity.
