We are seeking an experienced and proactive PR & Communications Manager to join our clients in a fast-paced Media and Communications team. As a Senior PR and Communications Executive, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive B2B communications strategy to raise awareness of the region's key sectors, supporting inward investment and lead generation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive B2B communications strategy to raise awareness of the region's key sectors, supporting inward investment and lead generation.
  • Craft and distribute high-quality B2B opinion-editorials, press releases, quotes, thought leadership pieces, and speeches that position the region as a globally leading investment location.
  • Collaborate closely with sector leads and the Business Attraction team to develop sector-focused propositions, messaging, content, and events.
  • Manage the company's B2B PR agency, overseeing a global media relations programme that builds the region's profile.
  • Monitor, report, and evaluate the effectiveness of the B2B agency and investment communications function, leveraging CRM systems.
  • Support the Corporate Communications Manager with investment messaging, ensuring alignment with corporate narratives.
  • Lead crisis and reactive communications in response to negative news stories or reports affecting the region's economic strategy.

Requirements:

  • Strong PR agency management skills, including finance and time management.
  • Proven ability to produce compelling B2B communications materials to the highest editorial standards.
  • Experience in B2B communication roles, with a focus on promoting sectors such as Tech & Creative, Professional & Financial Services, Advanced Manufacturing, Life Sciences, and Low Carbon.
  • Knowledge of the region's public and private sector landscape.
  • Experience in trade and investment communications.
