**Job Title:** Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Control and Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to support our team in delivering design projects. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Principal EC&I Engineer to deliver projects from concept design through to manufacture and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing estimates and project proposals.
  • Manage and work to project schedules.
  • Clarify EC&I requirements at all levels.
  • Participate in EC&I design reviews and client-facing meetings.
  • Provide technical solutions from customer requirements and initial concepts, and coordinate EC&I activities necessary to provide design solutions.
  • Engage in continuous learning and development in all areas of engineering, especially in latest technologies and techniques.
  • Produce project deliverables in accordance with project requirements, relevant standards, and procedures.
  • Experience checking and providing design feedback.
  • Adhere to company and statutory H&S policies, rules, regulations, and laws.
  • Adhere to the company QMS, contribute to its development, and proactively monitor team compliance.

Requirements:

  1. A minimum qualification of HNC or equivalent in electrical or control engineering or similar discipline.
  2. Membership of a recognized Engineering Institute.
  3. Incorporated Engineer or working towards.
  4. An understanding of how EC&I aspects fit within complex project environments, combined with in-depth knowledge of particular areas within the discipline.
  5. Demonstrate good understanding of nuclear health and safety and construction regulations.
  6. Experience at all stages of the design lifecycle.
  7. The capability to deliver and check design solutions to required standards, in the required timescales, supported by appropriate documentation.
  8. Knowledge of EC&I systems design, including calculations and EMC assessment.
