About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team on a permanent 8/6 roster, FIFO ex Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering advice, expertise, and guidelines for commissioning, operation, and maintenance in accordance with regulations, Australian Standards, industrial practice, and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operation support, preventive maintenance, system or equipment modification, and technical document preparation.
  2. Asset regular inspection, spare parts management, review equipment operation parameters, and monitoring inspection data.
  3. Develop activities, procedures, acceptance inspection criteria, and budget for inspection and maintenance.
  4. Schedule equipment maintenance and overhaul, develop scope of work for outsourced contracts.
  5. Provide technical guidance and support as required by the OMT team, participate in acceptance inspections and tests, and develop process optimization and performance improvement.
Requirements
  1. A current WA Driver's Licence is essential.
  2. Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience in an engineering environment involved in Power System design, commissioning, operation, and maintenance.
  3. Sound knowledge of electrical engineering, electrical system operation, protection, and control.
  4. Professional knowledge of generators, transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, electric motors, VSDs, CTs, PTs, protection relays, etc.
  5. Familiarity with operational procedures, periodic inspection & testing items and criteria, maintenance & overhaul procedure, and acceptance inspection criteria of the equipment mentioned above.
  6. Familiarity with asset management using relevant asset management software (SAP).
  7. Relevant knowledge of Australian Standards/Practices and statutory requirements relating to the position.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
