Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Job Summary:

Loma Systems is a leading manufacturer of inspection equipment, and we are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our National Response Team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to our customers in the UK, ensuring their inline inspection equipment is running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out repairs, on-site commissioning, service, and calibration of customer's inline inspection equipment.
  • Perform upgrades and refurbishments on customer sites.
  • Handle on-site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
  • Adapt to various environments and comply with local clients' health and safety regulations.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Participate in the on-call standby rota system as required.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and provide technical support via phone and email.

Requirements:

  • Good technical electrical/electronics skills - minimum HNC or similar qualification in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Experience in a field service role and familiarity with customer service, including commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
  • PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware an advantage.
  • Good PC literacy and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Full current UK driving license.
  • Good customer service skills and flexibility to work overtime, including weekends as required.
