Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to provide high-quality technical support to our customers in the UK. As a key member of our National Response Team, you will be responsible for repairing, commissioning, and servicing customer equipment, as well as providing on-site training and support.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out repairs, on-site commissioning, service, and calibration of customer equipment to stated processes and procedures.
  • Perform upgrades and refurbishments on customer sites.
  • Handle on-site customer queries in a fair and courteous manner.
  • Adapt to various environments and comply with local clients' health and safety regulations.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and on time in accordance with company procedures.
  • Cooperate with overtime requirements and participate in the on-call standby rota system.
  • Continuously improve product knowledge and provide technical support via phone and email.
Requirements
  • Good technical electrical/electronics skills - minimum HNC or similar qualification in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Experience in a field service role and familiarity with customer service aspects, including commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
  • PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware an advantage.
  • Good PC literacy and methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Full current UK driving license.
  • Good customer service skills and flexibility to work overtime, including weekends.
