Wayman Learning Trust is seeking an experienced and dedicated Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team on a part-time permanent basis. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with special educational needs.

About the Role
  • This position involves leading the provision for students with special educational needs, ensuring that they receive tailored support and guidance to reach their full potential.
  • You will work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create comprehensive support plans, monitor progress, and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes and promote inclusion.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff to enhance their ability to support students with SEN effectively.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant policies and legislation.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
