At Be Caring, we are seeking a dedicated Care Companion to join our team in Newcastle. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in people's lives by providing care and support that promotes independence and dignity.

The ideal candidate will have the right values and a can-do attitude, with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to build rapport with customers and their families. As a Care Companion, you will be integral to enabling customers to access local community groups, activities, and events, connecting them to their communities and promoting social inclusion.

We offer a competitive salary of £12.30 per hour for drivers and £11.50 per hour for walkers, paid shifts not per call, travel time included. Mileage rates are 45p per mile for drivers and 20p per mile for cyclists. Bonus schemes include up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus, and a £25 birthday gift voucher.

Our comprehensive induction training program includes Be Caring values, dignity and respect, safeguarding, and equality and diversity, as well as fluids and nutrition, safe administration of medication, moving and positioning, basic life support, pressure sores, infection prevention and control, health and safety, learning disabilities, mental health, and capacity.
