Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per annum.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Broadcast Control Specialist to join our Playout team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing the transmission of live complex events, scheduling content, and monitoring channel outputs to ensure high-quality delivery to customers. Your expertise in playout systems and workflows will enable you to identify potential issues and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule Preparation: Perform manual and automated tasks on playout schedules to identify potential errors and faults.
  • Live Schedule Management: Edit live automation schedules to alter content or timings as required.
  • Live Schedule Monitoring: Monitor channel outputs to confirm fault-free playout.
  • Fault Identification: Identify loss or degradation of channel outputs, encryption, or PIN protection.
  • Fault Recovery: Use system resilience or schedule editing to recover from channel loss or degradation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • A degree qualification or relevant vocational qualifications.
  • Specialist knowledge of playout systems and workflows.
  • Experience of digital playout environments and complex live broadcasts.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
