Job DescriptionRole Overview: Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a primary school setting.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Support students with SEN in a classroom environment, promoting inclusion and diversity.
  • Collaborate with the SEND Coordinator, teachers, and multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement Individual Education Plans.
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings and training sessions to maintain competence in SEN educational strategies and practices.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Prior experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or a similar role supporting children with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to supporting emotional well-being and academic growth.
  • Willingness to undergo professional training and development to enhance knowledge and skills in SEMH and SEND practices.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development.
