We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a friendly primary school in Wellington, Somerset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Individual Education Plans in collaboration with the SEND Coordinator, teachers, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes diversity and dignity.
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings and training sessions to maintain competence in SEN educational strategies and practices.

Requirements
  • Prior experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or a similar role supporting children with SEMH needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to supporting emotional well-being and academic growth.
  • Willingness to undergo professional training and development to enhance knowledge and skills in SEMH and SEND practices.
  • Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
  • Opportunities for continuous professional development.
