Job Overview

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Youth Support Specialist to join our team in a long-term role. This position will be based in a specialist provision in Liverpool, catering for students with additional needs and challenging behaviors.

About the Role

This full-time position involves supporting students with various requirements, including 1:1 support and extra assistance during lessons. The ideal candidate will have strong behavior management skills, be caring, compassionate, and resilient, with experience in childcare or youth work. An understanding or experience working with children on the autism spectrum or those with SEMH difficulties and challenging behaviors is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with additional needs and challenging behaviors in a specialist provision
  • Provide 1:1 support and extra assistance during lessons
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student well-being and engagement
Requirements

The successful candidate will require:

  • Experience in childcare or youth work
  • Strong behavior management skills
  • Caring, compassionate, and resilient nature
  • An understanding or experience working with children on the autism spectrum or those with SEMH difficulties and challenging behaviors
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including:
