Mental Health Support Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Care in Mind. As a key member of our staff, you will provide high-quality support to young people with mental health needs, enabling them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives.
About the Role:- Provide intensive support to young people with complex mental health needs, promoting independence and self-confidence.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to develop and implement personalized care plans, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, food shopping, and medication administration, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
- Promote healthy relationships and social skills, facilitating regular activities and outings within the community.
- Document and record progress, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, social work, nursing)
- Proven experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those with mental health needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build rapport with young people and colleagues
- Basic IT skills and familiarity with electronic care systems
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
