**Job Title:** Healthcare Coding Specialist

Practice Plus Group, a leading provider of healthcare services, is seeking a part-time (22.5 hours per week) Clinical Coder to join our team at Emersons Green Hospital in Bristol.

This exciting opportunity will allow you to develop your career in Clinical Coding under the supervision and guidance of our Senior Finance Manager.

The successful candidate will have experience working in healthcare administration and patient administration systems.

We are responsible for ensuring that all patient activity captured on Practice Plus Group's Patient Administration System (Maxims) is accurately clinically coded within the set national timeframes for charging Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).

The Clinical Coding Department plays a crucial role in analysing and interpreting complex clinical data in accordance with national and international rules and conventions.

You will be responsible for coding diagnosis and clinical procedures of all inpatient and day-case activity using ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications and local policies and procedures.

To be considered for this role, you will need GCSEs (or equivalent) including English, Maths, and a Science at Grade A-C, as well as experience gained in a healthcare environment.

A salary of £24,000 - £30,000 per annum is available for this position, depending on experience.
