We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW).

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, providing high-quality care to patients. As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of quality care to patients, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have at least 6 months of experience working in a healthcare setting, with a commitment to ongoing development and training. You will be expected to provide personal and intimate care, undertake clinical observations, and follow stringent policies such as infection control and manual handling. Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to provide emotional and practical support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal and intimate care to patients

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a healthcare setting
  • GCSE A*-D in English language or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a health and social care setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to complete accurate documentation
  • Basic IT skills
