SEN Teaching Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive schools in Darwen, Blackburn, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities to meet the needs of SEN students.
  • Provide one-to-one support and small group interventions.
  • Help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with emotional, social, and behavioral needs in and outside of the classroom.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and other staff to implement educational health care plans.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic individuals with a passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build strong relationships with students.
  • A proactive approach to working with teachers and staff to support children's learning.
  • Previous experience working with children, especially those with SEN, is desirable but not essential.
  • A desire to develop your skills and make a real difference in an inclusive school setting.
