Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Prospero Teaching is working with a leading SEN school that provides exceptional education and support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school fosters a growth-oriented environment that promotes learning and development for all students.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support the diverse student body. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with various SEN additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Speech and Language Difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide tailored support to students with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met.
  • Assist in the implementation of Education Health Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress.
  • Support students in developing social skills and independence.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as an SEN TA or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of various SEN additional needs and strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN.
