Job Title: Pediatric Emergency Nurse Specialist
\The Darent Valley Hospital's Emergency Department is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires skilled nurses to manage patient care effectively. As a Pediatric Emergency Nurse Specialist, you will work in the Emergency Paediatric Department, coordinating patient care, managing flow, and supporting junior staff while maintaining patient safety.
\This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality care in an emergency setting. You must be committed, flexible, and approachable with substantial ED nursing experience. A strong interest in developing new staff and a proactive approach to delivering evidence-based care is essential.
\Key Responsibilities:
\- \
- Follow policies and procedures while prioritizing patient safety and workload.\
- Act as a role model, share knowledge with junior staff and students, and work alongside senior sisters/charge nurses to manage teams.\
- Manage cannulation, plastering, catheterization, IT skills, triage, and ILS.\
- Maintain ongoing research or publication in emergency care.\\/ul\[
Qualifications:

- Post-graduate A&E/Critical Care Qualification or working towards.\
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD).\
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.\
- Degree or working towards.\
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification.\\/ul\[
Salary: £34,000 - £40,000 per annum
