Are you passionate about supporting students with profound and multiple learning disabilities? We are seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to work in a dynamic college setting, providing individualised assistance tailored to the physical, sensory, and educational needs of our students.

Job Overview:
  • We are looking for a teaching assistant to provide PMLD support across the college, working with multiple students and their care teams to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.
  • As a key member of our team, you will assist with personal care, including toileting, feeding, and hygiene, ensuring the dignity and comfort of our students at all times.
  • You will facilitate learning and engagement by assisting in the delivery of sensory-based and practical activities that align with students' Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • In this role, you will also provide manual handling support using hoists and other equipment to assist students with mobility needs safely and effectively.
  • Positive behaviour management strategies will be implemented to help students engage and participate in their educational journey.
