Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform on-site performance analysis and implement action plans to optimize wind turbine availability.
  • Collaborate with technicians and back-office staff to deliver on-the-job demonstrations and training.
  • Support on-site improvements for problem turbines, including software and hardware updates.
  • Provide technical support via phone and online, as well as creating reports on turbine performance.
  • Handle parameter disabling and alarm change handling as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience in the mechanical or electrical industry, with knowledge of reading electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagrams.
  • Mechanical or electrical training through time-served or technical college qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Ability to identify and define problems, extract crucial information from technical data, and develop workable solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, as well as experience with database and workload management systems (bonus points for SAP experience).
  • Physical fitness and ability to work at heights up to 100m, with a valid working at height test.
  • Regular travel, including nights away from home, with a full UK/EU driving licence.
