About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at BakerHicks. As a key member of our Civil and Structural department, you will play a crucial role in delivering sustainable and integrated design solutions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of civil and structural engineering projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve our services and expertise.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge, ensuring the growth and development of our team.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree and Chartered status with a professional institution such as CIHT, ICE, or IHE.
  • Extensive experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Microdrainage, and AutoCAD, with a strong understanding of earthworks design, below ground foul and surface water drainage design, pavement design, external works, and 3D underground services coordination.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
