Signature Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Support Officer to join our client, a prestigious London university, on a temporary, full-time basis. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in managing high volumes of queries, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the seamless operation of the student lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the department's inboxes, assist with email triage, and respond promptly to student queries.
  • Resolve student and academic inquiries via telephone and in person, providing excellent customer service and signposting as necessary.
  • Contribute to the student journey with module, programme evaluation, and assessment processes, including supporting with the collation of marks for Academic Boards.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of events, including trips, external speakers, and associated logistics of room bookings and refreshments.
  • Servicing academic committees, including writing minutes, reports, and taking follow-up action as required.
  • Provide other general administrative tasks to support the team and wider university.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in an administrative and student-facing role within a higher education setting with a good understanding of the student lifecycle.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong emphasis on customer service with students, academics, and professionals. Strong numeracy skills with an ability to work with data sets.
  • Highly proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft, as well as student records systems and virtual learning environments, specifically UNIT-e and SITS.
  • A proactive and positive team member with excellent time management, organisational skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
