Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £49,245 per annum, plus additional benefits that include access to ongoing training and development opportunities and a comprehensive health insurance package.

This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week, with a comprehensive salary package that reflects the importance of this role within our organisation.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified pharmacist with expertise in medicines optimisation to join our clinical team. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to promote appropriate prescribing practices and improve patient outcomes.

The post involves participating in drug usage analysis, coordinating projects and audits, and developing guidelines and protocols related to acute medicine. We value collaboration and teamwork, and we are looking for an individual who can contribute to our dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with medical consultants and specialist nurses to promote cost-effective prescribing practices.
  • Participate in drug usage analysis to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  • Coordinate projects and audits to ensure adherence to best practice standards.
  • Develop and maintain guidelines, policies, and protocols related to acute medicine.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Masters degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Fulfilment of mandatory Continuous Professional Development/Revalidation requirements.
  • Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.
