Department: Clinical Negligence

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting lawyers and senior lawyers in the running of a caseload of clinical negligence cases from inception to trial, under supervision and in line with current company policies and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Running an individual caseload of clinical negligence cases
  • Providing support, guidance, and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to clients
  • Contributing to proactive and commercial case management and progression across the team
  • Supporting the Team Leader/Head of Department in ensuring the delivery of the team's financial and performance KPIs
  • Effective and thorough time recording

Requirements:

  • Recent experience of handling a caseload
  • NQ-5 years PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills
  • Excellent IT skills, especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages, Proclaim, and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
  • Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
  • Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines
