Overview

Lantern Fire and Security Ltd is seeking a meticulous and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Monitor and manage the accounts receivable ledger to ensure timely payments are received.
  • Analyse customer accounts and assess creditworthiness to minimise financial risk.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with clients via phone and email to secure payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to debt collection.
  • Collaborate with the accounts payable team to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Utilise accounting software for data entry and reporting purposes.
  • Provide excellent phone etiquette during client interactions, fostering a professional image of the company.
  • Prepare reports on outstanding debts and present findings to management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in credit control or a similar financial role is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills for effective client interaction.
  • Experience in telemarketing or customer service is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of financial services and accounts payable processes is a plus.

  • Pay: £24,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
