About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Practitioner for Children and Young People to join our team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with children and young people, providing expert emotional wellbeing and mental health support.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will have a graduate qualification in a relevant field, such as nursing, social work, or occupational therapy. You will also have experience working with children and young people, delivering low-intensity CBT treatments and assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver interventions within MHSTs in schools and colleges, receiving clinical supervision.
  • Initiate referrals to other health professional specialist services and agencies.
  • Provide expert emotional wellbeing and mental health support to children and young people.
  • Undertake school-based and community-based assessments, risk assessments, care plans, and deliver early interventions.
