Transport and Care Coordinator for Vulnerable Patients

We are a dynamic team at EMED Group, working together to provide exceptional patient transport services. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ambulance Care Assistant to join our team in Shepton Mallet, Somerset.
Job DescriptionAs an Ambulance Care Assistant, you will be responsible for transporting patients to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities. You will work as part of a two-person crew or independently, driving a variety of vehicles and interacting with patients and their families. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, empathy, and a commitment to patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Transport patients to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless patient transfers
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
- Valid UK driving license with no more than three penalty points
- Enhanced DBS check
- Familiarity with local roads and transportation systems
