About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Staff Nurse to join our team at the Orion Unit, Highbury Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to adults with intellectual disabilities.

As an IDD Staff Nurse, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver assessment, formulation, implementation, and evaluation of patients' needs. You will maintain accurate records and documentation in line with Trust Policies and NMC Regulations.

The successful candidate will have experience working with patients with intellectual disabilities and must demonstrate awareness of current issues and legislation affecting people with intellectual disabilities.

As part of our team, you will receive extensive training and support to enhance your clinical practice and ongoing career development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of healthcare workers, student nurses, preceptorship nurses, and TNAs to develop and deliver a high-quality specialist health service provision.
  • Provide knowledge of multi-disciplinary/multi-professional working, risk management, and associated mental health care needs to the team.
  • Maintain records and documentation in line with Trust Policies and NMC Regulations.
Requirements:
  • Professional Qualification (Mental Health/Learning Disabilities/General) to degree level or equivalent.
  • Maintains current registration with NMC.
Estimated Salary: £32,000 - £43,041 per annum, dependent on experience.
