Duty Manager/Night Porter Coordinator

Main Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of the building and its guests overnight, as well as completing administrative tasks accurately and within given deadlines. Additionally, this role will support the conference and events business in the day-to-day delivery of commercial events held at the Emergency Planning College.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Operate with minimal input from senior management, exercising excellent judgement and decision making while being totally customer service driven.
  • Maintain all areas of responsibility to a high standard and ensure they are always presentable.
  • General cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and deep cleaning.
  • Act as Duty Manager when required, during out-of-hours Fire or Security incidents.
  • Enforce and monitor all health, safety, and sanitation standards in their area.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests and handle guest complaints according to provided guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisation, prioritisation, and communication skills, able to work within time constraints and prioritise tasks according to the needs of the Estate.
  • Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety standards in conjunction with events.
