Economic Urban Planning Manager Role

Oxford Economics is seeking an experienced urban economist to manage our cities team's research on city and regional economies. The successful candidate will oversee the production of thematic research, lead research projects, and contribute to existing outputs.

This role requires strong academic credentials in economics, geography, or a related discipline, as well as at least 10 years' experience in relevant work. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling them to present complex economic concepts to clients and media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage research projects and ensure high-quality output;
  • Enhance existing methodologies and present results to clients and media;
  • Collaborate with other teams to provide innovative solutions;
  • Develop and maintain expertise in urban economics, geography, and related fields;
  • Mentor junior colleagues and introduce new ideas and techniques to the team;
  • Contribute to the company's external brand in the field of city analytics.

Salary: £100,000 - £160,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location: London, UK (with opportunities to work from other global offices)
