Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking dedicated individuals who share a passion for supporting Secondary Age young people.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with multiple schools throughout their tenure with us, providing personalized support and flexible scheduling options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with teachers to support students in various classroom activities.
- Adapt lesson plans to cater to diverse student needs.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
- Provide individualized or group support under teacher direction.
- Foster a growth mindset by offering constructive feedback and praise.
- Create opportunities that address each student's unique needs.
While prior school experience is desirable, it is not essential. Relevant experience from other fields will be considered. Mandatory safeguarding training can be provided online at no cost. Additional professional development opportunities are also available.
We prioritize safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All workers undergo thorough background checks in accordance with DfE guidelines. We provide free child protection and prevent duty training to all registered candidates. A valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is mandatory for all applicants.
Additional Information:
- This position may become permanent later.
- 7% statutory holiday pay applies.
