We are seeking a Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team in Lancashire County Council. This is a rare opportunity to work with a well-established team of Primary School Improvement Consultants in one of the largest Local Authorities in the country.
About the RoleThis role involves providing support and challenge to our Primary schools with the overall focus of raising standards in our schools. The successful candidate will have a passion for developing behaviour support in our primary schools through a trauma informed approach.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement behaviour support strategies in primary schools
- Provide training and professional development for teaching professionals in behaviour management
- Work closely with schools to identify and address behaviour management issues
- Contribute to the development of behaviour support policies and procedures
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A proven track record of outstanding teaching and departmental leadership
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Up-to-date knowledge of behaviour management in primary schools
- Ability to work as a member of a team and provide behaviour management specific support to schools across the LA
