About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Clinical Specialist Psychiatrist to join our Medical Bank. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work flexibly, choosing shifts that fit around your availability, family, hobbies, and other commitments. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in various settings and broaden your skills.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months experience in an NHS setting and will be fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice. They will also have a basic medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) and Section 12 Approval.

Main Responsibilities

As a Clinical Specialist Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for working on an 'as and when' basis with no guaranteed hours. You will be required to work days, late shifts, waking nights, and non-residential on-call (NROC) shifts. You may also be required to work longer-term placements depending on the needs of the service.

In return, we offer a competitive rate of pay, shifts can be allocated through MedicOnDuty or be self-booked through the Medic online booking system via the BankStaff+, choosing shifts based around your availability, priority over agency staff for booking shifts, paid time to complete statutory and mandatory online training, annual leave payment of 12.07% added to your hourly rate, assistance with clinical appraisal and revalidation support, access to Library and Learning facilities across AWP, auto enrolment to the NHS Pension scheme, access to NHS staff discounts on a wide variety of goods and services, and free access to Occupational Health & Employee Support.
