Accounts Senior Job Description

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Accounts Senior to join their accounts team in Sussex. As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for preparing accounts for the audit team, controlling a portfolio of clients, and preparing various financial documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accounts for the audit team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Control a portfolio of clients, including individuals and owner-managed businesses, and prepare financial documents such as accounts, tax returns, and computations.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for companies, partnerships, LLPs, and sole traders.
  • Review and prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.
  • Use online accounting packages to manage client work and ensure effective team workflow.
  • Supervise semi-seniors and assistants involved in production and delivery of work.
  • Act as a key point of contact for nominated clients, managing their compliance and other service requirements.
Requirements:
  • Experience with full FRS 102 accounts and IFRS accounts.
  • Experience of preparation of group accounts and consolidations, including cash flow statements.
  • Experience of foreign subsidiary conversions, including pre and post-acquisition reserves.
  • Experience of calculating minority interests.
  • Minimum ACA/ACCA part-qualified.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of £35,000 - £45,000, dependent on experience and background.
  • 25 days annual leave.
  • 5% pension.
  • Death in service.
