Cluster Financial Support Specialist

About This Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team at Thistle City Barbican as a Cluster Financial Support Specialist.
As a key member of our finance function, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our Cluster Financial Controller and Hotel General Manager.
This role involves ensuring accurate financial data is provided, operational controls are implemented and adhered to, and all aspects of sales and purchase ledger duties are covered.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Conducting daily business audits and reporting
- Managing daily banking and balancing, as well as bank reconciliation and completion of monthly balance sheets
- Providing assistance with customer queries and dealing with chargebacks
- Raising invoices and chasing payments in the Sales Ledger
- Managing house accounts and open folios in the Guest Ledger
- Processing invoices in accordance with company procedure in the Purchase Ledger
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts
- Ensuring that all operational controls are implemented within the hotel
Requirements:
- Previous experience working within a finance function is essential, preferably from the hospitality sector
- Ideally AAT, HOSPA qualified or similar
- Strong administration & IT skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to drive process improvements and enhance operational efficiency
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum
