Disease Ecology Professor

Auburn University is seeking a highly qualified Assistant/Associate/Full Professor to join its College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment (CFWE) and the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM). The successful candidate will establish a strong research program in disease ecology, contribute to an interdisciplinary initiative addressing environmental resilience and global health, and foster collaborations with scientists at Auburn University and other institutions.

Key responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, focusing on disease ecology and specialty areas, and contributing to the One Health graduate certificate program. A PhD in wildlife, ecology, biology, or related field, expertise in infectious diseases in free-ranging vertebrates, and experience working in interdisciplinary teams are required. Publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals and skills in vector-borne disease ecology, global change, and urban disease ecology are desirable.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Auburn University offers a 9-month tenure-track appointment with a 75%/25% research/teaching split between CFWE and CVM.
