Hotel Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Hotel Manager to oversee the operations of our two boutique hotels in Southend-on-Sea and Canary Wharf, London. This is a unique opportunity for a versatile hospitality professional to manage and elevate two distinct hotel environments, ensuring each property operates seamlessly and consistently exceeds guest expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations for both hotels, ensuring that all departments (front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, etc.) are running smoothly and efficiently.
  2. Financial Acumen: Develop, monitor, and report on projected income and expenses for both properties, ensuring financial stability and growth.
  3. Guest Experience: Ensure a superior guest experience by managing check-ins/outs, addressing guest inquiries and concerns, and maintaining high standards of service.
  4. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and manage hotel staff, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring all team members are aligned with the company's service standards.
  5. Compliance: Ensure both hotels comply with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  6. Marketing & Promotion: Collaborate on marketing strategies and promotions to enhance the visibility and attractiveness of both properties.
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a Hotel Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
  2. Strong understanding of hotel operations, financial management, and guest service.
  3. Ability to analyse financial reports and develop strategies for improvement.
  4. Flexibility to travel between the Southend-on-Sea and Canary Wharf properties as needed.
  5. Proficiency in hotel management software and MS Office Suite.
